Learn how to localise for China with Lan-bridge in London this February 2016
Lan-bridge is joining forces with Emerging Communications to offer a special workshop on how to localise your brand and language assets for the Chinese market on 16 February 2016. The workshop aims to help brand owners & retailers and will cover marketing online to Chinese consumers.
Ideal for international brand managers, marketing managers, international sales managers, digital managers and digital agencies, the workshop will cover how to name your company or brand in Chinese, an overview of the Chinese language and how to localise into Chinese, key information on Chinese web-design and how to choose and work with Chinese marketing channels – after all, once you’ve localised your content, you need to reach out to your new consumers.
We think this workshop comes at an opportune time as the Chinese government handles the transition to a more consumption-based economy and more and more UK companies are taking their first steps in selling products to the Chinese market. However, the Chinese market is like no other and there are specific challenges that stand between foreign companies and the fabled ‘1.3 billion customers’ – learn what they are and how to avoid them.
The workshop will be held at WeWork Moorgate (1 Fore Street, London EC2Y 5ET) from 3pm to 6pm on Tuesday 16 February 2016.
Attendees should come away with knowledge on how to prevent a mistake when creating a Chinese name, information on brand protection including trademarks and Weibo verification, an understanding of Chinese language and how to adapt your content, information on how to localise marketing channels to reach your audiences including an outline of Chinese social media, web design, and search channels and a checklist of things to consider when displaying Chinese content in China, including ICP licenses, hosting, domain name registration and more.
