The Voice of Lan Bridge, 14.09.2017: Lan-bridge works with the UNWTO
2017-09-14. The opening ceremony of the 22nd General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) was recently held in Chengdu, China. Vice Foreign Minister Wang Yangxuan of the State Council delivered a speech and Secretary-General of the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, sent a message to the UNWTO. Many important speakers from UNWTO, the Sichuan Provincial Party, and Columbia’s Department of Industry and Tourism also gave speeches.
The 22nd General Assembly of the United Nations World Tourism Organization is one of the largest ever UNWTO events. It is also one of the largest and most important tourist diplomacy events to be held in China in recent years. More than 100 national and regional the tourism ministers, 41 international organizations, and over a thousand delegates attended the meeting. During the six-days of sessions, the participants discussed issues such as sustainable tourism development and “One Belt, One Road” tourism cooperation. Leaders from the World Tourism Organization also informed delegates about the latest developments in world tourism, gave suggestions for planning towards future tourism development and other discussed other important areas.
Lan-bridge was invited by the organizers to provide professional translation, interpretation, and shorthand services.
